POSITION: Teaching Assistant – TemporaryLOCATION: Thomas Jefferson Elementary SchoolHOURS: 8:00am – 3:00pmSALARY: $31,587 (pro-rated)EFFECTIVE: January 15, 2024 – April 22, 2024 (anticipated)Lakeland Central School District is seeking a Temporary Teaching Assistant at the elementary level. This employee provides instructional services to students under the general supervision of a certified teacher. Responsibilities include working with pupils or groups of pupils on special projects; providing teacher with information about pupils that will assist teacher in the development of appropriate learning experiences; assisting pupils in the use of available instructional resources and assisting in instructional programs in various subject areas. Minimum acceptable training and experience: Level I Teaching Assistant Certificate. This candidate shall have attained a high school diploma or its equivalent. The certificate shall be valid for three years from its effective date.
