Lakeland Central School District is seeking a Registered Professional School Nurse. This is a 1:1 position involving responsibility for giving care to one student and for performing related nursing services such as pupil health screening and appropriate referral and communicable disease prevention and control requiring nursing judgment and skill. This employee also performs professional nursing services in the maintenance of acceptable health standards, school health records and the emergency treatment of student and employee health problems in accordance with state laws and district policies. The work is performed under the general direction of a School Physician, School Principal or other high-level school administrator. Good knowledge of nursing principles and techniques, working knowledge of child development as it relates to health issues, risk factors, current health practices, infection control and personal hygiene, good powers of observation, mental alertness, firmness, initiative, patience, emotional stability, good moral character and sympathetic attitude toward the sick is required. Salary: As per LFN contract. Hours M-F.
