Oversee all duties and responsibilities chairing the Committee on Special Education (CSE), including, but not limited to: reviewing referrals for appropriateness and timeliness ; chair meetings to facilitate group process so that all parties are involved in the process; develop IEP’s that represent the needs of the child and the services to be provided; prepare Board of Education recommendations based on CSE/CPSE decision; arrange program/services for students within existing staffing; communicate with principals/staff regarding recommendations for children
