Kidz Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher who is fun, energetic and welcomes a collaborative approach. This position is a Fee For Service position in our Riverhead facility where they will conduct direct 1:1 service for early intervention and preschoolers requiring services. Details about this opportunity: Preschool and Early Intervention Special Instruction Fee for Service, part-time Day, evening, and weekend opportunities available Early Intervention services operate 365 days a year and can be flexibly scheduled Preschool services will follow the school calendar Riverhead, NY What we have to offer YOU: Employee Assistance Program Referral Program Professional Development Assistance Part-Time FFS work up to 29 hours per week Team Building Events Responsibilities: Work with students in preschool settings to provide individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) goals. Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals to engage and captivate learners with various abilities. Collect meaningful information on IEP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP goals. Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team. Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily. Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development. Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals. Attend IEP meetings.
