The Kings Park CSD is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as Principal of Kings Park High School for the 2023-24 school year. The successful candidate will lead an exceptional student body and staff in a high achieving environment. We are seeking an educational leader who is eager to become part of the Kings Park Community and work in a school environment characterized by continual growth and innovation. Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Record of successful experience as both a teacher and building administratorA visionary with the ability to inspire excellence in students and staffExperience in supporting varied post-high school pathways including college, career, and military serviceStrong evaluation and professional development skills to work with staff on improving teaching and learningStrong knowledge of problem-based learning, personalized learning, and integration of educational technologyKnowledge and understanding of the academic and social and emotional development of high school learnersExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsConfidence necessary to make difficult decisions in support of student and community needsAbility to work collaboratively with students, parents and the surrounding Kings Park CommunityExperience implementing teacher Annual Professional Performance Reviews (APPRs)New York State Certification as SAS or SBL
