Our faculty is distinguished by dual certifications in Special Education and content areas, complemented by expert inclusive specialists and clinical support. Age Range: 5 years old to age 21 Class Ratios: 8:1:1 for core academics, 12:1:1 for electives We are seeking a certified special education teacher to provide instruction to Middle School students; many of whom present with significant academic and behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will be skilled in state of the art educational strategies, behavior management techniques, and experience with incorporating Social Emotional Learning within the curriculum. Experience with implementation of varied teaching methodologies Strong ability to differentiate instructional goals Experience following BIPS and establishing classroom behavioral systems Experience teaching children with significant behavioral profiles and complex communication needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Certification Requirements: Students with disabilities with a Content Area in MS
