Location: John Jay High School Anticipated Start Date: May 22, 2026, through on or about January 31, 2027 Qualifications: Possess a current NYS English 7-12 Certification. Responsibilities: Deliver instruction aligned to the NYS Next Generation ELA Standards. Demonstrate experience co-teaching in integrated classroom settings. Support English Language Learners (ELLs) through differentiated instruction and culturally responsive practices. Design engaging units that build critical reading, analytical writing, speaking, and research skills. Use formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction. Communicate proactively and professionally with families regarding student progress and growth. Implement restorative practices to foster belonging and a positive classroom community. Collaborate within a Professional Learning Community (PLC) structure to develop aligned curriculum and common assessments. Create an inclusive, structured learning environment that supports diverse learners. Hours: Full-Time, Temporary Salary: $62,699-$141,489 as per the KLDTA contract; prorated based on start and end date.
