Location: Katonah Elementary School/Operations & Maintenance Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time (12-month); Monday-Friday; 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Salary and Benefits: Salary Range of $59,939 to $67,418 as per the KLSSA Contract Description: The duties of a night custodian involve the efficient performance of building cleaning. This work is performed according to a well-established routine, standard operating procedures, and can include the following tasks: Performs cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair tasks.Moves and arranges chairs, tables and other furniture and equipment.Cleans and mops lavatories and locker-rooms, empties waste baskets.Waxing floors, washes walls and windows, and dusting furniture.Building checks, ensuring windows and doors are closed and locked.Performs variety of errands and related custodial tasks.Minor repairs to furniture, windows, doors and shades.Clearing snows from walkways & door entrances.Setting up events for athletics and approved facility use organizations.Visual checks of the building envelop, checking for potential leaks, temperatures, water pressure, lighting, tripping hazards, safety concerns, and reporting them to their supervisor.
