KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of Technology Teacher in the soon-to-be renovated Technology Labs at John Jay Middle School beginning September 1, 2025. Qualifications: Possess a current NYS certification for Technology Education.Additional certifications in business and/or computer science are a plus.Project Lead the Way certification is a plus. Responsibilities: Understand and/or have experience with the engineering & design process, coding, and be able to effectively coach students through the process.Demonstrate experience and/or understanding of strategies for embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion into the curriculum and classroom instruction.Demonstrate enthusiasm for building relationships with students.Demonstrate commitment to implementing varied instructional and assessment strategies inclusive of project-based learning.Be reflective about teaching practices.Additional spoken languages are a plus.Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice.Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research-based strategies that improve student outcomes. Hours: Full-time (10 month) Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2025 Salary: $62,699 - $141,489 as per the KLDTA contract
