Location: John Jay High School Hours: Part-time, 10-month, 0.2 FTE Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2025 Qualifications: NYS Certification in Latin (7-12). Responsibilities:Demonstrate strong skills in teaching students at all levels of Latin.Use technology and multimedia resources to enhance students’ learning.Demonstrate strong skills in developing curriculum and instruction.Engage students in authentic and meaningful activities within an immersive language experience.Foster a positive and inclusive environment that respects the diversity of students.Provide feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals, while maintaining high expectations for all students.Collaborate with colleagues and seek feedback to improve teaching practices.Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice.Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research-based strategies that improve student outcomes.
