KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of French Teacher at John Jay High School beginning September 1, 2025. Qualifications: Possess a current NYS French 7-12 Certification Responsibilities: Demonstrate oral and written fluency in French.Have experience with, or understanding of, project-based learning.Use technology and multimedia resources to enhance students’ learning.Demonstrate strong skills in developing curriculum and instruction.Engage students in authentic and meaningful activities within an immersive language experience.Foster a positive and inclusive environment that respects the diversity of students.Provide feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals, while maintaining high expectations for all students.Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice.Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research-based strategies that improve student outcomes. Hours: Full-time (10 month) Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2025 Salary: $62,699 - $141,489 as per the KLDTA contract
