KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of ENL Teacher at John Jay Middle School beginning September 1, 2025. Qualifications: NYS certification in TESOL Responsibilities include: Providing?stand-alone and integrated instruction to ELLs, as per NYSED guidelines. Providing modifications and accommodations to curriculum, resources?and assessments.? Communicating?and collaborating?with families. Providing translation support to families and faculty.Working?with colleagues to provide a culturally responsive?curriculum?and school climate.Attending?to the social emotional?wellness of students.Collaborating with ENL teachers, other faculty, and administrators to support English Language Learners?(ELLs)?in all areas.Coordinating with administrators?and ENL colleagues to administer, score and analyze the?NYSITELL and NYSESLAT.? Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice.Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research-based strategies that improve student outcomes. Hours: Full-time (10 month) Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2025 Salary: $62,699 - $141,489 as per the KLDTA contract
