Location: John Jay High School Anticipated Start Date: April 8, 2024, through June 3, 2024 Hours: Full-Time, Temporary Salary and Benefits: $110/day as per the KLDTA Contract; after 30 consecutive days, the rate increases to $308.11. Qualifications: NYS Certification required; Certification Area: Biology Grades 7-12 Responsibilities: Demonstrate experience and understanding of concepts in secondary biology & life sciences.Be able to teach to NYS Science Standards.Demonstrate enthusiasm for building relationships with students as much as the subject.Have experience with, or understanding of, project-based learning and strategies implementing evidence-based claims to students of all ability levels.Commitment to implementing varied instructional and assessment strategies.Demonstrate an understanding of the New York State Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework.Be reflective about teaching practices.Work collaboratively with all colleagues.
