Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervising employees and inspect work completed.Working with budget guidelines to approve requisitions and forecast budgetary items.Inspecting grounds, fields, and buildings for compliance and safety issues.Maintaining maintenance equipment and records thereof.Possessing thorough knowledge of grounds and building maintenance practices, procedures, supplies, and equipment.Possessing the ability to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, email, and database software. Candidates must qualify through the Westchester County Civil Service Commission and/or pass the appropriate Civil Service examination. Consideration for transfer will be given to candidates holding the title of Maintenance Foreperson (Buildings & Grounds Maintenance) in permanent status in Westchester County, NY.
