The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and creating a supportive educational environment.-10-month positionResponsibilities- Develop and implement the Creative Curriculum to maintain, improve and/or enhance the educational functioning of the student- Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment- Complete a progress report and discuss results with the family.- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to support student development-Maintains daily lesson plans, data records and attendance, conducts Daily healthchecks.Qualifications- Valid NYS Certified NYS Certified Early Childhood Teachers Birth-2- NYS Dually Certified Early Childhood/Special Education is a plus- NYS Certified Special Education Teachers Birth-2 or Equivalent- Experience/knowledge and understanding of developmental delay- Knowledge and understanding of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP)- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues- Experience writing progress reports- Ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners- Must be fun and engaging!Join our team and make a difference in the lives of students who require specialized support in their educational journey.Teachers enrolled in a NYSED Internship Certification program are welcome to apply!New Graduates Welcome!!!!Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
