JOHNSON CITY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT TECHNOLOGY TEACHER DATE: June 1, 2026 EFFECTIVE DATE OF September 1, 2026 ASSIGNMENTS: LOCATION: Johnson City Middle School STARTING SALARY: Current rates (Higher rates available with prior experience) Bachelors: $59,136 Masters: $63,352 REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: Candidates must be certified in Technology Education K-12 with additional NYS Computer Science Certification preferred. Other valid and relevant NYS teaching certificates may be considered. Candidates who have just completed degrees and are finalizing certification are welcome to apply. The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate the Ability to: Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration Be trained and implement Project Lead the Way Gateway Curriculum Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Utilize a state-of-the-art classroom setting to engage students in STEM-based projects Possess flexibility and motivation to collaborate with teachers in grades 6-8 to implement curriculum, aligned to the Next Generation Science & Math Standards, Technology Standards, and NYS Computer Science Stand ards .
