We seek a dynamic and passionate Head Football Coach who will inspire and develop student-athletes, emphasizing the values of teamwork, discipline, and academic success. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a competitive program with strong community support.Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate the Ability To: Lead and Inspire: Create a positive and motivating environment that encourages athletes to perform at their best, both athletically and academically. Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of assistant coaches and support staff. Develop and Grow the Program: Attract, develop and retain Johnson City student-athletes to contribute to the success of the program and help build a legacy of excellence. Develop Player Skills: Demonstrate a strong knowledge of football strategies, techniques, and training principles while adapting coaching methods to the individual needs of players. Communicate Effectively: Build strong relationships with student-athletes, staff, parents, and the community through clear and open communication. Promote Sportsmanship: Foster a culture of respect, discipline, and ethical behavior both on and off the field. Manage Team Operations: Efficiently handle day-to-day operations, including scheduling, logistics, budgeting, and compliance with regulations. Adapt to Change: Embrace new strategies, trends, and technologies in coaching to stay ahead of the competition and evolve with the game. Embody Integrity: Lead by example in all aspects of coaching, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (preferred in education, sports management, or related field). Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level (head coaching experience preferred). Strong background in football fundamentals, strategy, and program management. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse group of student-athletes. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for player health and injury prevention. Valid coaching certification and background check (as required by the state and school district).Internal and external candidates are invited to apply.
