Position Title: 1.0 Physical Education Teacher Long-Term Substitute Brief Description: Provide subject area instruction (Physical Education) that follows the NYS K-12 PhysicalEducation Curricula and provides students with healthy experiences in fitness, strength,rhythm and dance, and individual, dual, and team sports.Develop and implement physical education materials and lessons to provide individual,small group, and whole class activities to students.Follows students ’ IEPsEstablish positive relationships with parents and family members to create a partnershiparound student treatment, student behavior, and academic progress.Participate in Professional Learning Communities, Professional Development, staffmeetings, behavior/treatment meetings, and professional training and developmentsessions as required.Follow all Ithaca City School District policies and procedures, along with state andfederal regulations about our school and students.Work collaboratively with other teachers, clinicians, administrators, medical staff, andother school staff to provide integrated support, assistance, and treatment to studentsMaintains a positive and accepting classroom environment for the students.Current Location: Ithaca High School Anticipated Date: December 4, 2023 Posting Dates: October 10, 2023 - until filledIthaca City School District values diverse perspectives and life experiences.
