Island Trees School District seeks a committed and talented elementary school orchestra/general music teacher to fill a .8 position. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to recruit and teach our beginning orchestra students, schedule and hold small group lessons, run large group rehearsals, and prepare the beginning orchestra for a Spring Concert, and proficiency on a primary string instrument. The candidate also must demonstrate the ability to teach elementary school general music. This position includes 1 (paid) rehearsal before school each week during the second half of the school year.
