Probationary Position beginning August 27, 2025Responsibilities:• Develop and implement a high quality, standards-based music education curriculum, with a focus on including the integration of technology, which will promote students’ comprehensive understanding and appreciation of music.• Demonstrates expertise in music theory, performance, and a variety of musical styles and instruments.• Creates an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters student creativity and participation.• Incorporates differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of students.• Uses formative and summative assessments to track student progress and inform instruction.• Encourages critical listening, collaboration, and self-expression through performance and composition.• Manages classroom materials, instruments, and technology effectively to support learning.• Communicates regularly with students, parents, and staff to support student growth and program success.• Participates and directs concerts, performances, and school-wide music initiatives to showcase student talents.Requirements:• NYS Music Pre-K-12 Certification Req’d• Excellent Piano Skills Req’d• General Music & Chorus Exp Pref’d• Elementary Education Experience Pref’d• Orff Schulwerk Certification(s) Pref’d
