SCHOOL COOK (F/T)Civil Service Position*M-F 7:00AM-3:00PMBenefits AvailableResponsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of foods (including meats, fish, poultry, soups, vegetables, desserts, salads, sandwiches) for school breakfast and lunch programs.Assist in the planning of menus and purchasing of foods.Inspect and maintain inventory of food and supplies.Assist in the cleaning of kitchen and storage areas.Prepare and bake rolls, cakes, etc., as required.Qualifications:Prior experience as a Cook preferred.Certification in food safety preferred.*Employment is contingent upon Nassau County Civil Service approval and fingerprint clearance from the NYS Education Department
