Job Duties Conduct comprehensive reading evaluations and records review Act as the Committee on Special Education point-person for reading assessments and SDRI, participate in CSE meetings. Collaborate with Pupil Personnel Services to support district-wide SDRI Professional Development Facilitation Partner with the Pupil Personnel Leadership and teams to plan and implement a K-12 continuum of SDRI Design, develop and deliver high quality professional learning for PPS staff with a focus on SDRI instruction Develop and deliver parent education workshops and outreach relating to learning disabilities. Provide direct services for limited high-need, mandated specially designed reading instruction (SDRI) (6th period stipend) Opportunity for Curriculum Development/ESY/CSE work over the summer (up to 20 days) Qualifications Strong working knowledge of research-based reading interventions, including Wilson, Orton Gillingham and Lindamood Bell Desire to actively participate on a dynamic special education leadership team to formulate proactive support plans for students with mandated reading services Active, lifelong learner, with an understanding of comprehensive support models At least five years of experience delivering research-based reading interventions to students with IEPs Demonstrated competency with data collection, analysis and reporting Flexible thinker with desire to innovate with support models Deep understanding of response to intervention/MTSS frameworks and the CSE referral process Commitment to equitable delivery of servicesLiteracy Certification and/or Special Education K-12 certification required
