KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Facilitate the decision-making process for the integration, coordination, operation, procurement, installation and maintenance of software, hardware, email, internet, training, and support for all technologies in all sectors of the DistrictCoordinate and implement the goals outlined in the District’s Strategic and Technology PlansServe as the District’s Chief Information Officer (CIO)Manage, develop and sustain the District’s suite of communication toolsDesign, develop and deliver high quality professional learning for all instructional and non-instructional staffEnsure that all educators have access to the appropriate tools to develop innovative curriculum, instruction, assessment, learning environments and professional learningObserve and evaluate instructional and non-instructional staff as assignedManage relationships and contracts with technology consultants and vendorsMaintain knowledge of and communicate current research findings regarding to the most effective use of instructional technologyQUALIFICATIONS: New York School Administrative Certification: SDA, SDLMinimum of five years of teaching experienceExperience in technology infrastructure management, information technology systems management, instructional support, student management and data systemsPossess excellent organizational, managerial, planning and implementation skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated progressive leadership, flexibility and adaptability
