ANTICIPATED OPENING: SCHOOL YEAR 2026 - 2027 Teaching Assistants The Islip School District seeks student-centered educators who are dedicated to professional growth and committed to the success of all students. CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess NYS Teacher Certification or Teaching Assistant Certification Responsibilities : Troubleshoot staff and student device issues (Chromebooks/PCs). Deliver engaging computer science and coding instruction to elementary students through project-based, hands-on learning experiences. Work with teachers to utilize, integrate, and troubleshoot district-supported instructional software Deploying technology equipment, including but not limited to projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, iPads, streaming devices, and Chromebooks. Monitor and complete entry level tickets in Service Desk Plus Maintain building device inventory using online management software. Create and file insurance claims for student devices. Assist in related instructional work as required and provide academic support for students. Provide support and feedback to students on classroom assignments. Help ensure that students’ testing accommodations are met; this will include entering all accommodations for NYS Computer-Based Testing and other online assessments. Assist with any presentation setup needs (BOE, Fine and Performing Arts, and other building assembly programs) to include helping presenters with required technology needs. Must be well organized with strong verbal communication skills to communicate with stakeholders. Please provide 3 supervisory references with application.
