We are looking for a candidate who is personable, compassionate, and possesses a growth mindset. The successful candidate will be student-centered, of high character, and dedicated to nurturing creativity across both middle and high school levels.Position OverviewThis role requires a flexible educator capable of bridging the gap between traditional and digital media. The instructional split includes:High School: Digital ArtMiddle School: General Art for Grades 6 and 8.CertificationNew York State Certification: Visual Arts K-12 (Required)Preferred Qualities & ResponsibilitiesDigital Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Procreate and iPad/Apple Pencil ProInstructional Excellence: Ability to design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the developmental needs of both 6th/8th graders and high school students.Classroom Culture: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe environment that encourages creative risk-taking and respect.Collaboration: Work closely with the Fine Arts Department to maintain curriculum continuity during the leave period.Exhibition: Organize and display student work (both physical and digital) to celebrate student achievement within the school community.Application ProcessPlease submit a cover letter and resume via OLAS to: Michael Hershkowitz, Director of Fine ArtsApplications will be accepted through OLAS only.
