This 11-month, K-12 position is part of the Islip Association of School Administrators collective bargaining unit. Requirements:Valid NYS School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certificationValid NYS (or reciprocal state) School Counselor certificationMinimum of five years of successful school counseling experienceAbility to develop and implement a comprehensive K-12 school counseling planDeep knowledge of post-secondary planning and best practices for improving student outcomesA growth mindset The successful candidate will:possess extensive knowledge of the college preparation, search and application and financial aid processes, including course pathways and the role of advanced courseworkhave and possess the ability to build institutional relationships with colleges, universities, career and technical schools, military branches, and employersuse a data-informed approach to increase student achievement and access to opportunitiesbuild and analyze a secondary master schedule that creates student opportunities while promoting the efficient utilization of resourceswork collaboratively as part of a team in pursuit of changing the life trajectories of students keep current with developments in the field of education, specifically school counseling and post-secondary planning, through thoughtful engagement in regional, state, and national professional organizations, conferences, and publications **Bilingual candidates preferred****Prior administrative experience preferred** Please submit a letter of interest and resume via OLAS to: Dr. Dennis P.
