Title: Reading Teacher -(Re-post)Deadline: 7/29/22Start Date: 8/30/22Initial Assignment: District Wide with Initial Location - Middle SchoolThis is a newly-created position to fulfill the requirements and needs related to emergency relief funds whose purpose is to focus on the needs of students/staff based on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. This position will expire no later than June 30, 2023 unless extended by legislative action. There is no expectation that the position will extend beyond that date. The position accrues seniority and allows for tenure granted in the candidates certification area. Once employed, the candidate is eligible for transfers into permanently funded positions.Eligibility: Must be a New York State Certified B-6 Literacy Teacher or Certified New York State Reading Teacher. Prospective applicants should have certification in and have demonstrated significant background experience in providing reading or literacy instruction to elementary students, to include successful classroom experience.
