Plans, directs, coordinates and leads the Physical Education program and Health program for all District studentsPlans, directs, coordinates and leads all aspects of the Athletic programMaintains and submits official records/reports to the Superintendent of Schools, Board of Education, New York State Education Department and other agencies, as requiredMakes recommendations concerning the Athletic program, Health program and Physical Education programDetailed knowledge of the Commissioner's Regulations as related to all assigned areasExtensive successful experience with scheduling athleticsAssist in developing and monitoring the Athletics, Physical Education and Health budgetComplete observations/evaluations of Athletics, Physical Education and Health staffRecruit, train and support high-quality NYSED certified coachesWork with the District Physician, RPN’s, and Athletic Trainer to ensure completion of sports physicals and clear student-athletes for participationCoordinate officials and athletic event staff, including security, as well as Facilities & OperationsPromotes high standards of student conduct, academic performance and athletic performance Preferred Qualification: BilingualRequired NYSED Certification:School District LeaderorSchool District Administrator
