Position Overview: The Hyde Park Central School District, is seeking multiple dynamic, student-centered elementary teachers for a full-time positions beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for enthusiastic educators who foster nurturing learning environments, build strong relationships with students and families, and demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence and the social-emotional growth of every learner. Tentative Assignment: Elementary Level, Location TBD Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Use data to assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed Collaborate with grade-level team members, support staff, and administrators Communicate effectively with families and caregivers Participate in school and district professional development and initiatives Qualifications: Valid New York State Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) Demonstrated understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for elementary learners Experience with or willingness to learn and implement research-based instructional strategies, including Responsive Classroom, guided reading, and balanced literacy approaches Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education Preferred Qualifications: Prior classroom teaching experience at the elementary level Familiarity with NYS assessments and curriculum Ability to integrate technology meaningfully into instruction The Hyde Park Central School District is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a culturally diverse staff.
