Elementary TeacherNetherwood Elementary SchoolLocation: Hyde Park, NYStart Date: September 2025Position Overview:Netherwood Elementary School, part of the Hyde Park Central School District, is seeking a dynamic, student-centered elementary teacher for a full-time position with a tentative assignment in 2nd grade. Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated instruction aligned with New York State Learning StandardsCreate a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environmentUse data to assess student progress and adjust instruction as neededCollaborate with grade-level team members, support staff, and administratorsCommunicate effectively with families and caregiversParticipate in school and district professional development and initiativesQualifications:Valid New York State Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6)Demonstrated understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for elementary learnersExperience with or willingness to learn and implement research-based instructional strategies, including Responsive Classroom, guided reading, and balanced literacy approachesStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsCommitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educationPreferred Qualifications:Prior classroom teaching experience at the elementary levelFamiliarity with NYS assessments and curriculumAbility to integrate technology meaningfully into instructionThe Hyde Park Central School District is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a culturally diverse staff.
