Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Employees Location: Various school buildings within the Hyde Park Central School DistrictStart Date: ASAP The Hyde Park Central School District is seeking three (3) dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our student health team. These are full-time, 10-month positions aligned with the school calendar. One position is a 1:1 assignment for a student requiring individualized care, and two are general LPN roles to support our elementary health offices. Position 1 & 2: 1:1 Licensed Practical NurseThis LPN will provide individualized nursing support for a student within the district. Qualifications & Experience Required:Valid NYS LPN licenseExperience providing 1:1 nursing services in a school or pediatric settingDemonstrated expertise in caring for children with EpilepsyCompetency and experience in tube feeding administration and monitoringAbility to respond swiftly to medical emergencies and communicate effectively with school staff and the student’s familyDiscretion and professionalism in managing confidential health informationPositions 2 & 3: Elementary Health Office Support LPNsThese LPNs will work collaboratively with our Registered Nurses in the elementary school health offices to ensure the health and safety of all students.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care to students throughout the school daySupport and assist with routine health screeningsMaintain accurate and confidential student health records, documenting all care, observations, and communicationsServe as a liaison between families and community health resourcesAlert families to health concerns and connect them with appropriate interventionsSupport daily management of student health needs including medication administration, symptom monitoring, and ongoing parent communicationPromote a safe, healthy school environment and ease parental anxiety through consistent, high-quality nursing careQualifications (All Positions):Current New York State LPN LicenseCurrent CPR and First Aid certificationSchool nursing or pediatric experience preferredStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsCommitment to confidentiality and professionalismThe Hyde Park Central School District is an equal opportunity employer.
