The Hyde Park Central School District, a unique culturally diverse district with influences of urban, suburban and rural settings, is located in the Mid-Hudson region of Dutchess County, New York. Position: Full time (1.0 FTE) probationary Community Schools Facilitator Start date: 9/3/2024 (mandatory 3 day orientation on 8/26-8/28/2024) (summer work, as required) Salary Range: $90,000-99,000 (commensurate with education and experience) Benefits per the Hyde Park Teachers Association (HPTA) contract. Preferred Qualification: Bilingual Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience, including experience in community organizing, education, health or social work, and knowledge of community-based organizations Preferred Expertise: Must be comfortable with the use of data and presenting data to small and large groups Required NYSED Certification: School Social Worker, School Psychologist or School Counselor The Community Schools Facilitator is responsible for implementing, integrating, aligning, and coordinating the community schools strategy. The Facilitator is responsible for facilitating the process of transforming the schools into full-service community schools. The Facilitator works in partnership with the Principals, school administration, LEA administration, family liaison, and leadership teams to assess the school community needs and assets, facilitates/coordinates student and family support services, and creates a learning environment in partnership with the school administration that supports student achievement and wellness. The Community Schools Facilitator must work to create a high performing Community School partnership wherein students and families are supported, community members are connected, and successful outcomes emerge.
