Hewlett-Woodmere is seeking teachers for the P-6 Summer Learning Academy. The program will be held at Hewlett Elementary School.The program hours and responsibilities are listed below.Monday, July 8 – Thursday, August 1 (Monday-Thursday only)8:15 – 11:45 (as students hours are 8:30-11:30)Mandatory 1 hr. Orientation held on date TBD (3:45 – 4:45 PM @ HES) prior to June 26 The P-6 Summer Learning Academy is designed to support children who may benefit from additional instructional and social opportunities to reinforce learning and provide a bridge from spring to fall. The program will promote independent learning strategies and strengthen Literacy and Math skills for children working to attain grade-level performance across all core areas. Teachers will be provided a curricular package to support instruction throughout the program.Interested candidates must have NYS certification.
