The Huntington Union Free School District is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative educational leader to serve as the Assistant Director of CIO, DPO, UPK, Grants, and Homeschool. This multifaceted position will support districtwide initiatives in technology, data privacy, early childhood education, state and federal funding programs, and compliance with homeschooling regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of CIO, DPO, IT & Library Media Services, as well as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction and other district leaders, to ensure effective implementation of district priorities. Responsibilities: Assist with oversight of district technology systems, including infrastructure, applications, and instructional technologies.Support the enforcement of NYSED data privacy regulations (Ed Law 2-d, Part 121).Coordinate professional development and communication for staff and families on digital tools and data protection.Monitor compliance with technology use and security protocols.Assist with oversight of UPK programs, ensuring compliance with state regulations and high-quality early childhood instruction.Liaise with community-based organizations and UPK providers.Monitor enrollment, program evaluation, and reporting.Expansion/Advocacy for UPK funding to include more opportunities for students and programs for students with special needs.Support the coordination, compliance, and reporting of federal, state, and private grants.Track expenditures to ensure alignment with grant guidelines.Collaborate with district and building leaders to maximize funding opportunities.Serve as a point of contact for homeschooling families.Ensure compliance with NYSED regulations, including receipt and review of Individualized Home Instruction Plans (IHIPs), quarterly reports, and annual assessments.Maintain accurate records and communication with families.Observe staff using the Danielson Framework.Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or their designee. Requisites:Knowledge of NYSED data privacy regulations, grant management, NYSED Homeschool regulations and related compliance requirements.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Valid NYS Certification as a School District Administrator or School District LeaderAdministrative experience preferredSalary and benefits will be in accordance with the District School Principals Association contract.
