Hoosick Falls Central School District School counselor / school social worker / psychologist Full-time Grades 5–8 SY 2026–27 Hoosick Falls Central School District is seeking a student-centered school counselor, social worker, or psychologist to join our middle school team. The successful candidate will support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of students in grades 5–8 and work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners. Responsibilities Include: Counsel students individually and in small groups on academic, personal, and post-secondary planning Design and deliver classroom lessons tied to district character goals Respond to student crises and lead restorative follow-up Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs Attend CSE meetings and 504 reviews; deliver IEP and 504 counseling services Maintain accurate records and meet all mandated reporting requirements Qualifications: Valid NYS certification in school counseling, school social work, or school psychology Experience at the middle school level preferred Working knowledge of MTSS, IEP, and 504 processes Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families Demonstrated commitment to an inclusive and supportive school environment Hoosick Falls CSD will only accept completed application that include the following: cover letter, resume, three (3) letters of reference, and certification (s).
