We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered Secondary Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about shaping "Education Today and Knowledge Forever". The ideal candidate will be a collaborative professional who can integrate our district’s core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, and Creativity into the daily classroom experience. Key Responsibilities Instructional Excellence: Implement a student-centered approach that prioritizes cognitive engagement, critical thinking, and mathematical discourse. Inclusion & Differentiation: Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula according to Individual Education Plans (IEP) to support a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Learning Environment: Create a welcoming, affirming, and student-centered environment conducive to the physical, social, and emotional development of all students. POG Integration: Actively embed the Portrait of a Graduate competencies (the 6Cs) into lessons, serving as a role model for these essential life skills. Collaborative Communication: Establish and maintain open, respectful communication with parents, students, principals, and colleagues through various modalities. Professionalism: Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders, reflecting the district's commitment to transparency and community engagement. Strategic Growth: Participate in professional learning and "Learning Teams" focused on instructional priorities such as assessment, success criteria, and culturally responsive practices. Qualifications Valid New York State Certification in Mathematics (7-12). A growth mindset with the ability to persevere through challenges and encourage risk-taking in students.
