Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources shall be directly responsible to the Superintendent of Schools. The Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources provides leadership in the district’s personnel management.SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:Administers New York State Education and Civil Service Laws and Regulations as they apply to certified and classified employees, including the development of a recruitment and selection processes for all support staff positions;Knowledge and understanding of New York State Education Law and policy as they relate to school districts/buildings and personnel;Interpret and implement personnel policies and contracts as they relate to administrators, teachers, and support staff;Supports school administrators in the management of matters related to personnel, staffing, and activities to assist in the development and oversight of initiatives;Ability to gain rapport and confidence of all segments of the school community;Promotes a district culture of equity, belonging, and inclusivity.Serves as Title IX compliance officer, Title VI compliance officer, and DASA coordinatorHas demonstrated a track record of authentic and compassionate leadership with building leadership experience preferred.
