We seek an outstanding collaborator with experience working with students, parents and school staff to solve problems by communicating, counseling and providing referrals to other resources. SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Assist students in evaluating their aptitudes and abilities through the interpretation of individual standardized test scores and other pertinent data. Work with students in evolving education and occupation plans in terms of such evaluation. Remain readily available to students so as to provide counseling that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding and maturity. Guide students in their participation in school and community activities. Maintain student records and protect their confidentiality. Supervise the preparation and processing of college, scholarship and employment applications (high school). Make recommendations to colleges for admissions and scholarships (high school). Consult with parents, teachers, and other appropriate staff regarding the child’s program and any adaptations/materials needed to facilitate improved performance in the classroom or at home.
