New York State Teacher Certification or New York State Teaching Assistant CertificateA teaching assistant assists staff and students with technology needs. Teaching assistants report directly to the Building Principal and/or the Director of TechnologySPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:Provide instructional and technical support to teachers and students under the direction of the Technology teacherAssists the teacher in planning and maintaining a safe, clean, learning environment and in assuring the well-being and safety of the children in his/her care.Present technology orientated lessons to small group or individual students under the direction and guidance of teachers.Maintains a positive, calm attitude and a soft voice, and encourage this attitude and voice in others working in the classroom.Assist in related duties, which may be assigned because of specific needs (the maintenance and/or preparation of technology equipment and software).Other responsibilities to be assigned by the Director for Technology, Principal, and/or his/her designee.
