Washington Drive Primary School is seeking a skilled, dependable, and student-centered Teaching Assistant to support technology instruction and assist with classroom-based technology integration. This is a probationary-track Teaching Assistant position requiring strong technology skills, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and district technology staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist the computer teacher with instructional activities, student support, classroom routines, and technology-based learning tasks. Assist students individually and in small groups during technology-based activities. Support classroom teachers with computer lessons, technology projects, digital learning activities, presentations, and student use of instructional technology. Track, organize, and maintain records of IT equipment, devices, peripherals, and related materials. Assist with basic troubleshooting of classroom technology, student devices, printers, interactive displays, and other instructional technology tools. Communicate technology concerns or equipment issues to appropriate staff in a timely and organized manner. Help maintain an orderly, safe, and productive computer lab/technology learning environment. Support students in developing responsible and appropriate technology use. Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal, computer teacher, or district administration. Qualifications: Valid New York State teaching assistant or teaching certification required. Strong technology skills required. Experience working with primary or elementary-age students preferred. Ability to support instructional technology, classroom devices, and basic troubleshooting. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Flexible, dependable, and able to follow teacher-directed lesson plans and instructional routines.
