Harborfields Central School District is seeking a dedicated, caring, and student-centered Anticipated Short-Term Leave Replacement Reading Teacher to join our team at Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School at the beginning of the 2026–2027 school year, approximately September 1, 2026 through November 24, 2026. The successful candidate will provide instruction and support to students in a warm, nurturing, and inclusive primary school environment. Qualifications: Candidates should possess: Valid New York State certification. Experience at the primary level. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to support students academically, socially, and emotionally in a primary school setting Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Providing instruction aligned with student needs and applicable learning standards Collaborating with classroom teachers to support access to grade-level curriculum Using student data to inform instruction and monitor progress Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Communicating professionally and effectively with staff and families, as appropriate Application Procedure: Interested candidates should apply through OLAS with a cover letter and resume addressed to Mr. Milton Josephs, Executive Director of Human Resources.
