Lahey Elementary School Position Type: Full Time Hours: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM Position Summary The Harborfields Central School District is seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodial Worker I to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and understands the importance of cleanliness in a school setting. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors Empty trash and recycling Refill supplies (paper towels, soap, toilet paper, etc.) Perform light maintenance and report repair needs Follow safety, sanitation, and school district procedures Set up or break down rooms for school events as needed Qualifications Prior custodial or cleaning experience preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Work Environment School building environment Afternoon/evening shift Interaction with staff and occasional interaction with students New York State Education Department Fingerprint Clearance required.
