Position: Full-year, long-term substitute (anticipated fourth grade) Qualifications and Responsibilities: New York State Certification in Childhood Education 1-6. Under the direction of the Building Principal, the elementary teacher will: plan and develop lessons based on NYS Next Generation Learning Standards for reading, writing, phonics, math, science, and social studies. develop social and emotional learning lessons and supports with the grade level team. participate in district training and apply Restorative Practices in the classroom. evaluate and assess student progress. communicate with students’ families. participate in and contribute to weekly grade level teacher team meetings.
