New York State Certified Earth Science TeacherWe are looking for a New York State Certified Earth Science Teacher to inspire and educate high school students in the field of Earth Science. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Earth Science, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment. Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with New York State Learning Standards for Earth Science.- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.- Assess and evaluate student performance, providing regular feedback and communicating progress with parents and guardians.- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students.- Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning and instruction.- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and Earth Science.- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school and district meetings, committees, and events.- Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.Qualifications:- New York State Certification in Earth Science (7-12) required.- Bachelor’s degree in Earth Science, Geology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).- Strong knowledge of Earth Science curriculum and New York State Learning Standards.- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.- Commitment to continuous professional development and growth.- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and the community.Interested candidates should submit the following:1.
