2025 - 2026 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCY POSITION: ADULT EDUCATION HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA) INSTRUCTOR, PART-TIME The HHA Instructor is responsible for delivering instruction in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations. The instructor will prepare adult learners with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to successfully complete the program and pursue employment in the home health care field. LOCATION: Alternative High School DAYS/HOURS: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 P.M. – 9:30 P.M. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Relevant experience in home health care or a closely related field Demonstrated ability to work effectively with adult learners Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Must meet all New York State Department of Health requirements for HHA Instructor oversight and supervision Prior teaching or training experience in a healthcare or adult education setting preferred KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide classroom instruction aligned with the New York State approved HHA curriculum. Supervise and evaluate student performance in both classroom and clinical components. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and assessment data. Develop and implement lesson plans that meet program and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable New York State Department of Health guidelines.
