2024 – 2025 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCYSpecial Education Department POSITION: SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - 8:2:1 APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (ABA) RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes of challenging behaviors.Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies to teach new skills and reduce problematic behaviors.Provide training and support to parents, caregivers, and other professionals on ABA techniques and interventions.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and teachers, to ensure holistic approach to learning.Application of principles of ABA across all domains, including academic, communication, social, and behavioral.QUALIFICATIONS: Valid New York State Special Education Certification.Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities.Experience working with Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) devices preferred.
