2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCY POSITION: Interim International Baccalaureate MYP Coordinator The MYP Coordinator reports to the Secondary Principal and maintains the school’s link to the International Baccalaureate Organization. The MYP Coordinator is expected to endorse, guide and promote the MYP framework within the school community and have a thorough understanding of the program’s principles and ensure the MYP develops from year to year. LOCATION: A.B.G.S. Middle School QUALIFICATIONS:Appropriate, valid New York state Administrator certification; School District Administrator (SDA) or School Building Leader (SBL)Five (5) plus years experience as a teacherJOB GOALS:Ensure all program documents are submitted as required by IBOMaintain and monitor the school’s IB program documentationResearch program implementation strategiesUtilize the OCC resources; ensure teachers have personal access to the OCCManage and monitor the school’s IB committeeAssess and fulfill program needs: books, materials, supplies, technology, resources, etc.Research and apply for grant opportunitiesWhen possible, order supplies to support implementation of the units of inquiry (resources, videos, hands-on manipulatives, etc.)Coordinate school activities and field trips to support the students learning and units of inquiryCoordinate opportunities for teachers to visit other IB programsOrganize and distribute IB program documents to staff (e.g. Making the PYP Happen, MYP Principles, Standards and Practice, etc.)Organize training needs and manage training documentsSupport student recognition incentives (e.g. IB Student of the Month)Connect with IBO regularly for IB updates and informationCOMPENSATION: ContractualCLOSING DATE: September 13, 2022
