We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Teacher’s Assistant who is ready to partner with our lead teachers, foster a positive learning environment, and make a daily, measurable impact on our scholars' lives. Key Responsibilities Instructional Support: Work closely with lead teachers to deliver small-group instruction, one-on-one intervention, and targeted learning activities in reading, writing, and mathematics. Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom culture aligned with our school-wide behavioral expectations and character values. Scholar Guidance: Support scholars with academic tasks, encouraging independence, focus, and a growth mindset. Daily Operations: Assist with student supervision during non-instructional times, including arrival, dismissal, recess, and lunch. Data & Progress Tracking: Help monitor and log scholar progress to inform small-group instruction and academic interventions. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree, 48 college credits, or passing score on the NYS Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills (ATAS) preferred. Experience: Experience working with elementary or middle school children, particularly in an urban public or charter school setting, is highly preferred. Mindset: A persistent belief that all scholars can achieve at high levels when provided with the right support, structure, and love.
