The Highland Falls–Fort Montgomery Central School District invites applications from dedicated, compassionate individuals to join our Special Education team as a full-time probationary Teacher Aide. We are looking for someone who brings warmth, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities The Teacher Aide will work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Key responsibilities include: Providing individualized support to students with special needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assisting the classroom teacher with instruction, daily routines, and student engagement Collaborating with teachers, specialists, and staff to promote each student's academic and social success Monitoring and supporting the health, safety, and well-being of students throughout the school day Maintaining clear, consistent communication with classroom teachers and school administration Collecting data and implementing behavior intervention plans as directed Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED NYSED fingerprint clearance Preferred: Prior experience working in a school or educational setting Bilingual proficiency If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and meet the qualifications above, we encourage you to apply by submitting your cover letter and resume.
