James I. O’Neill High School is seeking an anticipated NYS certified high school Art Teacher beginning in the 2024-2025 school year who aligns with our vision of providing our students, educators and the communities we serve with the global knowledge, cultural understanding and skills needed to compete in the global community.The Art teacher must be adept at teaching a wide range of classes using alternative mediums. An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency with using technology in both creating and teaching art; have enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills; be a collaborative team player willing to work with a wide range of students, families, faculty and staff as well as experience in the AP Art and Design Program. Experience in teaching Ceramics is a plus.Candidates must be certified in NYS Art or Visual Art and have previous experience working with adolescents.NYS fingerprint clearance is required.
